Hmmm... this statue, I would have to say is one of my biggest disappointments.  Don't get me wrong, it's still a worthy piece, but the scene where this statue was modeled from, the Reunion on the Hill of Swords, is one of my FAVORITE scenes in the manga.  I have this image stuck in my head of this incredible angelic man standing on the top of a snowy hill, with the sunlight shining through the clouds behind him, creating a rim of light surrounding his armor, as his cape and hair flow horizontally with the wind, while he gives his infamous deep stare that paralyzes the hearts of many.  Wow... I got a little dramatic there, huh?  Well yah, the point is, it's an awesome scene, and a not so awesome replication.

My first complaint is the face.  He doesn't look as gorgeous as he should look.  It just looks too plain.  But my other complaint is the body is just too stiff.  I know in the manga picture, he is not really moving either, but something about this sculpt looks too dull.

One saving grace of this statue, is the base and the sword in the ground.  In person, the base has a shiny, almost piano black finish, and it makes the statue look much more grand.  However, overall, if you want to get a Griffith: Millennium Falcon statue, I recommend getting the 1st one that AOW released.
